PrepifyME — Cookie Policy
Operated by Prepiffy LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("Prepiffy," "we," "us," or "our").
Effective Date: June 20, 2026 Last Updated: June 23, 2026
In plain language: Cookies and similar technologies are small files and identifiers that help PrepifyME work — for example, keeping you signed in, remembering your preferences, and helping us understand how the app is used so we can improve it. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not use cookies to track you across other companies' websites for advertising. This Policy explains what we use and how you can control it. It works together with our Privacy Policy.
This Cookie Policy applies to the PrepifyME website and web application, and (where relevant) to similar technologies in our iOS application and any future Android application (together, the "Service").
1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?
- Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. They are widely used to make websites work and to provide information to site operators.
- Local storage and similar browser technologies store information on your device to help the Service function and remember your settings.
- Software development kits (SDKs) and device identifiers are used in mobile apps to perform functions similar to cookies, such as keeping you signed in and measuring usage.
- Pixels/tags are small pieces of code that help us understand activity, such as whether a page or email loaded.
We refer to all of these collectively as "cookies" in this Policy.
2. Why We Use Cookies
We use cookies to:
- keep you signed in and maintain your session securely;
- remember your settings and preferences;
- keep the Service safe and detect or prevent fraud, abuse, and technical problems;
- understand how learners use the Service so we can fix issues and improve features.
We do not use cookies for third-party advertising, cross-site tracking, or to build advertising profiles.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
3.1 Strictly necessary cookies (always on). These are required for the Service to function — for example, to authenticate you, keep you signed in, maintain security, and remember your place in a session. The Service will not work properly without them, so they cannot be turned off through our cookie controls.
3.2 Functional / preference cookies. These remember choices you make (such as settings and preferences) to give you a better, more consistent experience.
3.3 Analytics / performance cookies. These help us understand how the Service is used — which features are used, how the Service performs, and where errors occur — so we can improve it. We use this information in aggregate to make the Service better. We do not use it for advertising. We identify the analytics providers we use in the reference table below and in our Privacy Policy.
We do not use advertising or marketing cookies. If this ever changes, we will update this Policy and obtain any consent required by law before placing such cookies.
4. Cookies We Use (Reference Table)
This table will be finalized with our actual cookies and SDKs before publication.
| Cookie / Technology | Provider | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Session / authentication | Prepiffy & authentication provider | Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in and secures your session | Session / token lifetime |
| Preferences | Prepiffy (first-party) | Functional | Remembers your settings | Up to 12 months |
| Analytics | Analytics provider | Analytics | Measures usage to improve the Service | Up to 24 months |
5. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are set by the service providers that help us run the Service (for example, our hosting, authentication, and analytics providers acting on our behalf). These providers process information under our instructions to deliver and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not allow them to use this information for their own advertising.
6. Your Choices and How to Manage Cookies
6.1 Cookie controls. Where required by law or where we provide a cookie banner or settings tool, you can accept or decline non-essential cookies. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled because the Service depends on them.
6.2 Browser settings. Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies through their settings. Instructions are available in your browser's help section (for example, Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge). Blocking some cookies may affect how the Service works.
6.3 Mobile settings. On mobile devices, you can manage app and advertising identifiers through your device's privacy settings (for example, iOS "Allow Apps to Request to Track" and Android's ad-settings controls). Because we do not use cookies or identifiers for advertising, these controls mainly affect analytics where applicable.
6.4 Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Some browsers offer "Do Not Track" (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. Because we do not track users across other companies' sites for advertising and do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, our practices are consistent with these signals. We will honor opt-out preference signals to the extent required by applicable law.
7. Children
The Service is intended for users 13 and older. We do not use cookies to deliver targeted advertising to anyone, including minors, and we do not knowingly use cookies to collect personal information from children under 13. See our Privacy Policy, "Children's and Teens' Privacy."
8. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, law, or our practices. We will post the updated Policy with a new "Last Updated" date and, where required, provide additional notice. If we ever introduce a new category of cookies (such as advertising cookies), we will update this Policy and obtain consent where required before using them.
