PrepifyME Scholarship Sweepstakes — Official Rules

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW.

This is a sweepstakes. The winner is selected at random. It is not a merit-based or need-based scholarship.

Plain-language summary (not a substitute for the full Rules): You can enter this random drawing for an education award two ways, both completely free — by earning points (XP) through normal use of PrepifyME, or by submitting the free entry form. You never have to pay or buy anything, and paying for anything will not improve your odds. You must be at least 13 and a U.S. resident, and if you're under 18 a parent or guardian must take part. Each Cycle is separate. If you win, the award is generally paid to your school, and prizes may be taxable.

1. Definitions

"Sweepstakes" means the single, self-contained random drawing described for the Cycle identified above. Each Cycle is a separate sweepstakes with its own Start and End dates; entries do not carry over from one Cycle to another. "Entry" means one chance in the drawing. "Entrant" means an individual who submits an Entry in compliance with these Rules. "Platform" means the PrepifyME website and applications.

2. Eligibility

The Sweepstakes is open only to individuals who, at the time of entry: (a) are legal residents of one of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia (excluding U.S. territories and possessions); (b) are at least 13 years old; and (c) are currently enrolled in grades 9–12 or are an undergraduate-bound secondary student. Individuals under 13 are not eligible and must not enter.

If an Entrant is under 18 (a "Minor"), a parent or legal guardian must consent to the Entrant's participation, and any award and all required documents will be handled through the parent or legal guardian as described in these Rules.

Not eligible: employees, officers, members, managers, contractors, and agents of Sponsor and its affiliates, and the immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, and their spouses) and household members of each. Void where prohibited.

3. Sweepstakes Period

The Sweepstakes begins on the published start date and ends on the published end date. Entries submitted before the Start or after the End are void. Sponsor's clock is the official timekeeper.

4. How to Enter (Two Free Methods of Equal Standing)

There are two ways to enter, both free. Neither requires any purchase or payment, and each Entry — however obtained — has an equal chance of being selected.

4.1 Method 1 — Platform Activity (XP) Entry. Registered PrepifyME users earn experience points ("XP") through normal use of the Platform. During the Sweepstakes Period, XP may be exchanged for Entries at the rate published on the Platform. XP cannot be purchased, and no payment, subscription, or paid feature grants, accelerates, or increases XP or Entries — PrepifyME is free to use. All freely-earned XP in your account may be exchanged for Entries.

4.2 Method 2 — Free Alternate Method of Entry (AMOE). Without using the Platform or earning XP, you may obtain one (1) free Entry per Cycle by completing the Free Entry Form at prepifyme.com/free-entry. A Free Entry received before the End of the Sweepstakes Period will be included in the drawing pool for this Cycle and has the same odds of winning as any other single Entry.

4.3 Equal dignity and equal odds. Both methods are disclosed with equal prominence and produce Entries of equal weight in the same drawing. You do not improve your odds by spending money, because no money can be spent to enter.

5. Entry Limit

There is no limit on the number of Entries you may earn through Platform activity (Method 1) during a Cycle. The free entry method (Method 2) provides one (1) free Entry per Cycle. Different entrants will therefore hold different numbers of Entries, and that is by design. Every Entry has an equal chance of being selected, regardless of how it was obtained. Using multiple accounts, identities, or email addresses to obtain additional Entries is prohibited and is grounds for disqualification.

6. Prize; Approximate Retail Value

One (1) prize will be awarded for this Cycle: a scholarship award with an Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") of the amount stated for the current Cycle (not to exceed $5,000). No more than one prize will be awarded per Cycle, and the total ARV of all prizes in this Cycle will not exceed $5,000. The prize is restricted to educational use and will be paid as described in Section 11. The prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable, with no cash alternative except at Sponsor's sole discretion.

7. Odds

The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible Entries received during the Sweepstakes Period.

8. Winner Selection

The winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible Entries received during the Sweepstakes Period, conducted by Sponsor (or its designee) on or about on or about the date stated in the winner notification. The drawing is final. If a selected Entry is disqualified or the selected Entrant is ineligible or fails to comply with these Rules, Sponsor will select an alternate winner at random from the remaining eligible Entries, time permitting.

9. Winner Notification and Confirmation

The potential winner will be notified using the contact information associated with their Entry (and, for a Free Entry, the email provided), within a reasonable time after the drawing. Winners will be announced by email and, where consented, on the PrepifyME website on or about on or about the date stated in the winner notification. The potential winner must respond within seven (7) days of the first notification attempt. If the potential winner cannot be reached, declines, is found ineligible, or does not respond within that period, the Entry may be disqualified and an alternate winner selected.

10. Verification; Required Documents

Being selected does not make a person a winner until eligibility is verified and required documents are returned. Within seven (7) days of notification, the potential winner must complete, sign, and return: (a) an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release, and Publicity Release; (b) a Form W-9 (or other tax form Sponsor reasonably requires); and (c) documentation reasonably sufficient to confirm identity, age/date of birth, residency, and current student status. If the potential winner is a Minor, a parent or legal guardian must sign all documents and provide the tax form, and the award will be handled through the parent or guardian. Failure to return complete, truthful documents within the stated time, or any misrepresentation, results in disqualification.

11. Prize Payment

At Sponsor's discretion and to the extent practicable, the scholarship award will be paid directly to the winner's accredited educational institution for the winner's benefit. If the winner attends a school that does not charge tuition, is not yet enrolled in a paying institution, or is a Minor, the award may be paid to the winner's parent or legal guardian (as custodian for the winner's educational use), to the winner if 18 or older, or held until enrollment is verified, in each case as Sponsor reasonably determines. Regardless of how the award is paid, it is a taxable prize, and the tax provisions in Section 12 apply.

12. Taxes

All federal, state, and local taxes on the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner (or the winner's parent/guardian). A prize won by chance is generally taxable income, even if applied to educational expenses, and is not treated as a tax-free scholarship. Sponsor will issue a Form 1099 and report to taxing authorities where required (generally for prizes of $600 or more) and will apply backup withholding if a valid taxpayer identification number is not provided. Winners should consult their own tax advisor. The Sweepstakes is open only to U.S. persons for tax-administration reasons.

13. Publicity Release

Except where prohibited, by accepting a prize the winner (and, for a Minor, the parent or legal guardian on the winner's behalf) grants Sponsor the right to use the winner's first name, last initial, state of residence, and, if separately consented, a photograph or testimonial for promotional purposes in any media without further notice, compensation, or approval. For a Minor, this right is effective only with a parent's or legal guardian's written consent.

14. Privacy

Information collected in connection with the Sweepstakes is used to administer it, verify eligibility, deliver the prize, and meet legal/tax obligations, and is handled in accordance with the PrepifyME Privacy Policy. Sponsor collects only the information reasonably necessary for each stage and collects sensitive information (such as government identification and taxpayer information) only from a selected potential winner for verification and tax reporting.

15. Fraud, Abuse, and Disqualification

Sponsor may investigate and disqualify any Entrant it reasonably believes has manipulated the XP system or any aspect of the Sweepstakes; submitted automated, duplicate, or false entries; used multiple identities or accounts; tampered with the Platform; or otherwise violated these Rules or acted in bad faith. Any attempt to deliberately undermine the Sweepstakes may violate criminal and civil law.

16. Limitation of Liability; Release; Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, by entering, each Entrant (and, for a Minor, the parent or legal guardian) releases and holds harmless Sponsor and its affiliates, members, officers, employees, and agents (the "Released Parties") from any claims, damages, or liability arising from participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize. The Sweepstakes and any prize are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

17. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, each Entrant (and, for a Minor, the parent or legal guardian) agrees to indemnify the Released Parties against claims arising from the Entrant's breach of these Rules, misrepresentation, or violation of law or third-party rights, except to the extent caused by a Released Party's gross negligence or willful misconduct.

18. Dispute Resolution; Arbitration; Class-Action Waiver; Governing Law

Except where prohibited, any dispute arising out of or relating to the Sweepstakes will be resolved by final and binding individual arbitration on the same terms (including the class-action and jury-trial waiver, 30-day opt-out, and informal-resolution provisions) set out in the PrepifyME Terms of Service, which are incorporated by reference. These Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Where a Minor participates, these provisions bind the consenting parent or legal guardian to the maximum extent permitted by law.

19. Force Majeure; Right to Modify, Suspend, or Cancel

Sponsor is not responsible for failures or delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. If fraud, technical failure, force majeure, or any other cause beyond Sponsor's reasonable control corrupts or threatens the administration, security, fairness, or integrity of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor may modify, suspend, or cancel the Sweepstakes and, if it cancels, may select a winner at random from eligible Entries received up to the time of cancellation.

20. General Conditions

These Rules and Sponsor's decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Sponsor's failure to enforce any term is not a waiver. If any provision is held invalid, the rest remain in effect. The Sweepstakes is void where prohibited.

21. Winners List

For the name of the winner (first name, last initial, state) for this Cycle, send a request with the Cycle name to support@prepifyme.com within 90 days after the End date.
